Butterfly Boucher and Mikky Ekko will rock Mercy Lounge the right way. This is a must-see show for Tennessee residents- and anyone else who can make the mid-week trip. These are two of the most important bands in the face of music for the near future of Nashville.

The only artist I can think of to compare Mikky Ekko to, is Prince himself.
They have serious and similar, yet unique sets of gestures that are some of the most interesting and intriguing, attractive, alpha characteristics known to man. Mikky characterizes his emotions onstage in a way this generation really needs to experience, to understand what real musical expression is about. Mikky's look alone sells pictures. His other worldly talents will sell records.
The music of Mikky and Butterfly, both, is deliriously good. They, like the fine artists who preceded them, might easily be construed as "crazy" or "eccentric", but those aren't all unanimously bad things, especially as concerns the creation of music, and what might be termed "freeform" or "eclectic" music. (So sayeth the voices in my head, anyway.)
That said, Butterfly Boucher happens to be a singer/songwiter/guitarist of a glorious bent. She went quickly into the Hall of Fame over there, as will several others very soon. who have earned the first few honorable mentions since Teradyme's inception and dedication to Nashville music.
Butterfly is quite incredible, reminding me sometimes of Tori Amos, other times of a much more refined Liz Phair, or an Aussie Shirley Manson. She is many things, and fortunately for us, they amount to an inspiring and nominally potent musical force we can expect to release nothing less than the fantastic.
In short, this is going to be a show for posterity, and you'll get the best seat in the house, if you can't be there to share it with us at Mercy Lounge, right here on Teradyme.
