Pico vs Island Trees, Retro Pop/Rock

This is a band who has delighted me ever since I first saw them at Mercy Lounge in Nashville, Tennessee, competing for a slot in this year's Bonnaroo Festival. They were hands-down the best performance of the night, and I can say that as musicians, they have a solid repertoire of great music that I will always enjoy. I don't have time to fully treat them in this article today, but i have a 20 minute interview with Bryan, the lead singer, waiting to be transcribed, that will soon be posted here.

In fact, I'll be seeing them tonight at The Basement, and will have more images and info to be adding as well.

Here are some snaps I took at the Mercy Lounge show Apr 20th. More good stuff about these guys very soon.

Update: This band totally rocks my socks off. This is the 2nd time I have seen them now, and I must say, increased length IS better! Especially when it comes to a Pico vs Island Trees show! I have extensive details of that show in development for posting tomorrow. For tonight, feast your eyes on these shots taken as the band played live at The Basement:
