The Winter Sounds is an Alternative/Indie Rock band from here in town. I had the pleasure of meeting them when they last performed at Mercy Lounge (07/17/09)

Nashville music is evolving into a broad range of styles and becoming a formidable competitor on the world stage, across all genres. 'The Winter Sounds' are a strong contributing factor in this alchemy of sound. Here's a clip of the show I met them at. Please forgive the breaks in sound. I didn't know my camera goes "deaf" when I change zoom.
"Candlelight"
Something of note: Patrick, the lead singer, also is the bass player. I have always admired anyone who could sing and play bass at the same time, as bass is primarily a lead instrument, and singing and playing lead is extremely challenging. That is why we rarely see it. (Examples include: Geddy Lee of Rush, and Les Claypool of Primus. Speaking of Rush, the guitar player of The 'Sounds, Clayton, reminds me of Alex Lifeson of Rush, as he is about 6'4", and damn good, at that)
